Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain is seeking a Band 6 clinician to join the Section 117 case management team in Humber and North Yorkshire ICB. The role focuses on reviewing Section 117 aftercare and supporting people with learning disabilities or autism to ensure safe, appropriate placements.

The position is home-based and requires national travel. You will work independently with multidisciplinary teams, contribute to legal and care planning processes, and attend tribunals as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant subject, or equivalent experience at a similar level.
• Relevant postgraduate qualification.
• Professional nursing qualification (RMN or RNLD) or social work qualification.
• Knowledge of adult and children's safeguarding agenda and processes.

Responsibilities

• Review and case manage patients on Section 117 aftercare and people with learning disabilities/autism.
• Deliver end-to-end Section 117 pathway: eligibility, review, case management and duty.
• Re-assess new placements in 12-week period and advise on suitability and care issues.
• Discuss potential transfers to alternative placements with service users.
• Attend clinical and multiagency reviews and Care and Treatment Reviews.
