Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is seeking a Wellbeing Officer for a secondary academy in Birmingham. The role involves supporting pupil wellbeing, delivering interventions, and assisting with attendance and reintegration into lessons. You will work with pupils aged 11–18, families and staff, providing confidential support and targeted help.

The position is a temp-to-perm basis, paying £100–£120 per day, with an emphasis on safeguarding, mental health, and creating a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Relevant training and/or qualifications in wellbeing or safeguarding.
• Experience for secondary-aged pupils (11–18) and supporting attendance.
• Ability to maintain confidential records and handle sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Deliver wellbeing interventions in lessons and small-group programmes.
• Provide individual and group support to pupils with barriers to education.
• Collaborate with families, school staff and others to improve attendance and reintegration into lessons.
