Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting a Secondary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in Sutton Coldfield. You will work closely with teachers and students to provide support across the school, including in lessons, small groups, and one-to-one sessions.

The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, reliable and committed to helping students achieve their full potential, with a passion for working with young people and safeguarding pupils.

Qualifications

• Experience with young people in education is desirable but not essential.
• Able to work five days a week.
• Confident in a classroom environment.
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil welfare.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning across the secondary curriculum.
• Work with students individually and in small groups.
• Help students stay engaged during lessons.
• Support students' academic, social and emotional development.
• Assist teachers with classroom activities and resources.

Role

As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and students to provide effective support across the school. You may be supporting students in lessons, working with small groups or providing additional one-to-one assistance where required.

• Previous experience working in a school or with young people is desirable, but not essential
