Job summary

Prospero Teaching is recruiting for a Secondary Teaching Assistant in Rossendale, Greater Manchester. The role supports secondary-age students, including those with complex learning needs, to access GCSE and entry-level content.

You'll provide one-to-one and small group support, help implement IEPs and EHCP targets, and work with staff, families and external agencies. The position is full-time, permanent, and runs Wednesday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm.

Qualifications

• SEND experience, ideally within a setting integrating students with mainstream peers.
• Confidence supporting GCSE or entry-level curriculum delivery.
• A calm, empathetic and proactive approach to SEMH needs.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A relevant qualification in support, care or education is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities
