Job summary

Heron Hall Academy in Greater London is seeking a caring Teaching Assistant to support pupils academically and personally. You will work closely with teachers, the SENCO and Inclusion and Pastoral teams to provide tailored support across diverse abilities and needs.

You will help pupils with literacy and numeracy, promote positive behaviour and wellbeing, and build confidence while contributing to a safe and aspirational learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with secondary-aged pupils and supporting individuals and small groups across learning needs.
• Good understanding of the secondary curriculum and positive behaviour management.
• Ability to build positive relationships and communicate effectively with pupils and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils to achieve their potential, working with teachers, SENCO and Inclusion and Pastoral teams.
• Provide tailored support to individuals and small groups across a range of learning needs.
• Help pupils develop literacy, numeracy, independence and confidence; promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing and inclusion.
• Contribute to a safe, respectful and aspirational learning environment and build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
