Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Secondary Teaching Assistant to support students in the Winchester area. The role involves assisting across KS3/KS4, providing 1:1 and small-group support, and helping maintain engagement and positive learning environments in schools.

The ideal candidate will have experience with young people, strong communication, and be adaptable and reliable. Safeguarding training can be provided, with a focus on forming positive relationships with students and staff.

Secondary Teaching Assistant - Winchester

Prospero Teaching is recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary Teaching Assistant to support students in secondary schools across the Winchester area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and enjoys helping young people develop confidence, engage with learning, and achieve their full potential.

Working closely with teachers and support staff, you will provide classroom support and assist students who may require additional guidance with their learning, organisation, confidence, or behaviour. Support may be delivered on a 1:1 basis or through small‑group interventions, depending on the needs of the school.

This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain valuable experience within secondary education while making a positive impact on students' development.

The Role

• Support teaching and learning across KS3 and KS4

Contract Details

• Position: Secondary Teaching Assistant
• Location: Winchester
• Start Date: ASAP
• Working Pattern: Full‑time, term‑time
• Pay Rate: £14.25 - £15.66 per hour
• Key Stages: KS3 & KS4
