Job summary

Prospero Teaching is recruiting a dedicated Secondary Learning Support Assistant to support students in Winchester's secondary schools. You will provide tailored support to learners who may need help with learning, organisation, behaviour, confidence, or classroom engagement.

Working alongside teachers and support staff, you will deliver 1:1 and small-group interventions, contributing to pupils' academic progress and personal development.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people desirable
• SEN experience beneficial but not essential
• Safeguarding training can be provided

Secondary Learning Support Assistant - Winchester

Prospero Teaching is recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary Learning Support Assistant to support students in secondary schools across the Winchester area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and enjoys helping young people overcome barriers to learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.

Working alongside teachers and support staff, you will provide tailored support to students who may require additional assistance with learning, organisation, behaviour, confidence, or classroom engagement. Support may be delivered on a 1:1 basis or through small-group interventions, depending on the needs of the school and individual students.

This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain valuable experience within secondary education while making a positive impact on students' academic and personal development.

The Role:

• Provide 1:1 support and small-group interventions for students

• Backgrounds in coaching, youth work, tutoring, childcare, or education welcomed

Contract Details:

• Position: Secondary Learning Support Assistant
• Location: Winchester
• Start Date: ASAP
• Working Pattern: Full-time, term-time
• Pay Rate: £14.25 - £15.66 per hour
• Key Stages: KS3 & KS4
