Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is recruiting a Secondary Teaching Assistant for a mainstream secondary school in Liverpool. The role is short-term with an immediate start, supporting teachers across subjects and working with pupils aged 11-16 to reinforce learning and positive behaviour.

You will assist with small group interventions, prepare classroom resources and help maintain an engaging, productive learning environment, with daily pay between £110 and £150. Training and ongoing support provided.

Qualifications

• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.
• Experience delivering small group interventions or assisting with classroom activities.
• Understanding of behaviour management strategies within secondary education.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to follow teachers' instructions effectively.
• Proactive approach and ability to build positive relationships with pupils.

The school focuses on creating an engaging learning environment where pupils are supported to participate actively in lessons and build the skills needed to succeed throughout their secondary education.

The school is looking to appoint a Secondary Teaching Assistant for a short-term position with an immediate start. The successful Secondary Teaching Assistant will assist teachers across different subjects, work with small groups of pupils who require additional guidance, help prepare classroom resources and reinforce positive behaviour to maintain a productive learning environment.

Requirements

• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable
• Previous experience working with young people aged 11-16 in a school or similar setting
• Experience delivering small group interventions or assisting with classroom activities
• An understanding of behaviour management strategies within secondary education
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to follow teachers' instructions effectively
• A proactive approach, resilience and the confidence to build positive relationships with pupils
