Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant for a secondary school in Liverpool. This role starts immediately and pays daily rates of £95–£100.

You will work alongside teaching staff to support students with additional learning needs, helping them engage and progress in KS3 and KS4. The ideal candidate will have school-based experience, strong behaviour-support skills, and excellent communication.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a secondary school based in Liverpool, who are looking to appoint a dedicated Learning Support Assistant. The school is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students are encouraged to develop their confidence, independence and academic abilities.

The school is looking to take on an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant on a short-term basis, starting immediately. The successful Learning Support Assistant will work alongside teaching staff to provide classroom support, assist students with their learning, encourage positive behaviour and help pupils remain engaged in their education.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:

• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable
• Experience working with children or young people in a secondary school or educational setting
• Experience supporting students with additional learning needs is desirable
• Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with teaching staff
• A patient, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to supporting young people
