Job summary

TeacherActive is supporting secondary schools in Powys by recruiting a passionate Qualified Teacher for immediate start and ongoing short-term or long-term opportunities. You will deliver engaging lessons across subjects, manage classes effectively, and inspire students to reach their potential.

Qualifications

We have short-term and long-term opportunities available for an immediate start, offering the chance to gain valuable experience across a variety of secondary school settings. As a Qualified Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons across a range of subjects, adapting to the needs of different classes and ensuring students remain focused, motivated and supported in their learning.

We are particularly interested in teachers who are confident and willing to cover a variety of subjects when required, providing flexibility and continuity of learning across the school. Whether you have a particular subject specialism or enjoy teaching across different areas of the curriculum, we would love to hear from you.

You will play an important role in creating a positive and stimulating learning environment, promoting good behaviour and encouraging students to develop confidence in their abilities. Whether you're an experienced Qualified Teacher or a Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) looking to build your classroom experience, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop your teaching career and make a meaningful impact.

The successful Qualified Teacher will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification


• Experience teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4


• The confidence and flexibility to deliver lessons across a range of secondary school subjects


• Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills


• The ability to deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all learners


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills


• The ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues


• A proactive, adaptable and professional approach


• The ability to follow existing lesson plans and maintain continuity of learning


• A genuine passion for education and supporting young people's learning and development
