Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a welcoming mainstream secondary school in Newport, Wales, to recruit a dedicated Secondary Teacher for a long-term temporary role with an immediate start. You will deliver engaging lessons, maintain positive classroom behaviour and support students aged 11 to 16 to progress academically.

The role requires QTS (NQTs welcome), strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom management and a committed, adaptable approach to teaching.

The school is looking to appoint a dedicated Secondary Teacher on a long-term temporary basis with an immediate start. The successful Secondary Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, maintaining positive classroom behaviour and supporting students to make strong academic progress.

The successful Secondary Teacher will have:

• QTS (NQTs are welcome to apply)


• Experience teaching within a secondary school setting


• Strong knowledge of the secondary curriculum


• Excellent classroom and behaviour management


• Strong communication and organisational skills
