QUEEN ELIZABETHS GRAMMAR SCHOOL is seeking a Special Needs Teaching Assistant Level 3 to join the Secondary School team. The role provides differentiated support across the curriculum to meet pupils' special educational needs and to help in their learning with sound knowledge of working with secondary pupils.

The successful candidate will have strong IT and assistive technology skills, excellent communication, initiative and a commitment to safeguarding. DBS clearance will be required.

Job description

We are seeking to appoint a Special Needs Teaching Assistant Level 3 to join our Secondary School team. The post requires providing differentiated support across the curriculum to meet pupil's special educational needs.

The main purpose of the role is to lead and support pupils with SEND in their education. To use sound knowledge and experience of working with Secondary School pupils to help in their learning.

Knowledge and experience of supporting pupils, together with excellent IT and assistive technology skills, excellent communication skills and the ability to demonstrate initiative, sensitivity and commitment to the role and the staff team.

The school is committed to safeguarding the welfare of our children and young people and the successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS clearance.

Contract: Full-time, term-time only Hours: 08:30 to 16:00 = 35 hours per week

Pay: Salary Grade 6a, Point 11-16

Starting FTE: £29,069 per annum

Starting Pro-rata: £22,226.90

Hourly Rate: £14.90
