Protocol Education is partnering with a welcoming secondary school in Harrow to recruit an experienced SEN Teacher for their specialist team. This role focuses on delivering inclusive learning for students with SEND and complex needs, supporting a positive classroom environment.

You will support secondary students with SEND and complex needs, deliver differentiated lessons, manage behaviour, track progress, and collaborate with Teaching Assistants and SENCOs.

Qualifications

  • Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience teaching in SEND / specialist settings.
  • Experience supporting students with complex needs.
  • Strong behaviour management and classroom skills.
  • Patient, enthusiastic and committed.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork.
  • Must hold a Child & Adult DBS

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons.
  • Support students with SEND and complex needs.
  • Create individualised learning activities based on needs.
  • Manage behaviour using positive, consistent strategies.
  • Track progress and contribute to EHCP and targets.
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs and other professionals.
  • Promote independence, communication and confidence
