Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Harrow. You will support secondary-aged students with SEND and complex needs, delivering differentiated lessons and contributing to EHCP targets.

QTS or equivalent teaching qualification is required, with strong behaviour management and teamwork skills. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, ASAP start, long-term placement in a school that values inclusion and pupil progression.

Responsibilities

We are working with a welcoming secondary school in Harrow looking for an experienced and passionate SEN Teacher to join their specialist team.

The Role

• You will be supporting secondary-aged students with a range of SEND and complex needs, creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
• Planning and delivering differentiated lessons
• Supporting students with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties
• Creating individualised learning activities based on students' needs
• Managing behaviour using positive and consistent strategies
• Tracking progress and contributing to EHCP and individual targets
• Working closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs and other professionals
• Promoting independence, communication and confidence

We Are Looking For

• QTS or relevant teaching qualification
• Experience teaching within SEND / specialist settings
• Experience supporting students with complex needs
• Strong behaviour management and classroom skills
• Patient, enthusiastic and committed approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Must hold a Child & Adult DBS
