Job summary

TeacherActive Limited. is recruiting a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support secondary SEND provision in Wembley. The role involves 1:1 and small-group support, assisting with differentiated activities and promoting inclusive learning for students with Autism, ADHD and SEMH needs.

The ideal candidate is patient, reliable and capable of building strong relationships with students and staff, contributing to a safe and engaging classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as LSA or TA in secondary SEND setting.
• Experience supporting secondary-aged students with additional learning needs.
• Knowledge of Autism, ADHD, SEMH and behaviour strategies.
• Calm, patient and adaptable approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to secondary students with SEND.
• Support students with Autism, ADHD and learning needs.
• Assist teachers with differentiated learning activities.
• Encourage positive behaviour, emotional regulation and student engagement.
• Help students develop independence, confidence and social skills.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENDCo and staff to maintain a safe, structured environment.
