Job Description:

We are working on behalf of a school that is looking for a Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant to work with children with complex needs. The school caters to children with moderate to severe physical and cognitive learning difficulties and has a passionate and committed leadership team.

The role is to start in June 2025 and involves full-time temporary cover until the end of the summer term.

The school is looking for someone who is:

• Passionate about working with children with physical difficulties and/or complex needs
• Has recent experience working in this area that can be referenced
• Ideally, has qualifications/training in areas such as manual handling, hoist use, feeding, personal care, PECS, Makaton, Team Teach
• Open to candidates from a mainstream background who feel they have the relevant experience
