Job Description:

We are working on behalf of an SEN primary school south of Birmingham, near the city centre. The school has a strong track record of providing high-quality education for pupils with ASC. It has strong leadership, received a good Ofsted rating, and supports staff development. The role involves providing general classroom support during the latter part of the summer term 2025, including:

  • Supporting pupils in class and small group settings
  • Differentiating lesson delivery according to pupils' needs and abilities
  • Supporting pupils to achieve their individual goals and targets
  • Safeguarding learners by following appropriate procedures
  • Supporting emotional wellbeing and safeguarding pupils
  • Supporting pupils with personal and intimate care needs
  • Managing pupil behaviour and contributing to behaviour support strategies

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Experience working in an SEN school or with SEN pupils in mainstream settings
  • Experience and understanding of working with pupils with ASC
