Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is seeking two dedicated Secondary SEN Teaching Assistants to join a specialist resource base in Cardiff. You will support pupils with emotional health and wellbeing, assisting teachers with lesson delivery and fostering an inclusive learning environment.

The role offers flexible hours (8:30 am to 3:30 pm) with a competitive daily rate and a supportive team within a nurturing school community in Cardiff. An Enhanced DBS and EWC registration are required to apply.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3, CACHE, or equivalent required.
• Experience with pupils with SEN, especially emotional health and wellbeing needs.
• Enhanced DBS check and Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration required.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with emotional health and wellbeing needs within the classroom and resource base.
• Assisting teachers with lesson planning and delivery to ensure inclusive learning experiences.
• Promoting positive behaviour and social skills among pupils.
• Monitoring and recording pupil progress and behaviour to inform ongoing support strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with emotional health and wellbeing needs within the classroom and resource base
• Assisting teachers with lesson planning and delivery to ensure inclusive learning experiences
• Promoting positive behaviour and social skills among pupils
• Monitoring and recording pupil progress and behaviour to inform ongoing support strategies

Requirements & Qualifications

• A relevant qualification such as NVQ Level 3, CACHE, or equivalent
• Experience working with pupils with special educational needs, particularly emotional health and wellbeing needs
• Mandatory compliance with an Enhanced DBS Check and registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
