Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is partnering with a welcoming secondary school in Newport, Wales to recruit a proactive Secondary Teaching Assistant to support KS3 and KS4 pupils. You will assist the class teacher, provide tailored 1:1 support for students with additional learning needs, and lead small-group interventions in reading, writing, and numeracy to reinforce learning.

You will help build an inclusive, engaging environment.

Qualifications

• 3 months experience working with children.
• Patient, creative, and adaptable approach to supporting diverse learning needs.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-player mindset.
• DBS check on Update Service or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons and maintain a lively, focused classroom environment.

Salary: £92.59 per day minimum

Employment Type: Full-time, Temporary - 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Are you a passionate and proactive Teaching Assistant eager to make a positive impact in the classroom? We are partnering with a welcoming secondary school in the heart of Newport to find an enthusiastic candidate to assist KS3 and KS4 pupils. Requirements & Qualifications:

• An Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
