Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd is seeking a passionate Secondary SEN Teacher to join our team in Bristol (BS4). You will create and implement individualized education plans for students with autism, dyslexia and other SEN, adapting the curriculum and delivering engaging lessons.

The role requires collaboration with staff and parents, strong safeguarding, and the ability to monitor progress and maintain IEPs. Full support and professional development are provided.

Qualifications

  • QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification is required.
  • Experience teaching secondary-aged students with SEN.
  • Strong understanding of SEN and relevant educational legislation.
  • Excellent communication and a collaborative approach with staff, students, and parents.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.

Job description

Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Secondary SEN Teacher to join our team in BS4. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with a range of SEN, including autism spectrum disorders, dyslexia, and other learning difficulties. You will be responsible for creating and implementing individualized education plans , adapting the curriculum, and providing a supportive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver tailored lesson plans and learning activities for SEN students.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed.
  • Collaborate with other teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for students.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and IEPs.
  • Provide support and guidance to students in their personal and social development.
  • Promote an inclusive classroom culture that respects and values diversity.
Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with secondary-aged students with special educational needs.
  • Strong understanding of SEN and relevant educational legislation.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with staff, students, and parents.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
