Position: Secondary SEN Teacher
Location: Bournemouth
Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 Annually (MPS/UPS)
Start Date: September / Immediate
Job Type: Full-time/Permanent


Are you passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to achieve their full potential? GSL Education are currently searching for a Secondary SEN Teacher to join a local school based in Bournemouth from the new academic year starting in September. There is also scope to start sooner!

About the Role:

As a Secondary SEN Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality education tailored to individual student requirements.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and deliver engaging lessons that inspire and motivate students with SEN.
  2. Implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and strategies to support students' academic and social-emotional growth.
  3. Foster a positive learning environment that promotes independence, resilience, and self-regulation.
  4. Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for students.
  5. Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and interventions as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:
  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  2. Previous experience of working in a secondary school is preferred.
  3. Experience of working with SEN students.
  4. Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions, including behaviour management techniques.
  5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
