Job summary

Premier Education Ltd is recruiting a committed Learning Support Assistant for a long-term position at a specialist secondary school in Wythenshawe. You will work closely with teachers and specialist staff to support pupils throughout the school day, providing one-to-one and small-group support, helping pupils access lessons, and assisting

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
• Experience in a school, care or youth work environment.
• Be patient, compassionate and resilient.
• Able to build positive and consistent relationships with young people.
• Available full-time from 8:30am to 3:30pm.
• Commit to a long-term, ongoing placement.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support.
• Help pupils access lessons and personalised learning activities.
• Support pupils to work towards EHCP outcomes.
• Encourage communication, independence and positive social interaction.
• Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
• Help manage transitions and daily routines.
• Prepare learning resources and support classroom activities.
• Monitor pupil engagement and share observations with staff.
• Follow individual support, behaviour and safeguarding plans.
