Premier Education is recruiting a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils at a specialist secondary school in Manchester. This full-time placement runs for a minimum of four weeks, with potential extension and 8.30am–3.30pm hours. PAYE only with daily rate £92.56–£115, reflecting experience.

Ideal candidates will have experience with SEND and be patient, compassionate, and resilient. Roles may include personal care or physical support, with DBS and safeguarding checks required.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
  • Worked in a school, care, youth work or similar support environment.
  • Patient, compassionate and resilient.
  • Ability to build positive, consistent relationships with young people.
  • Comfortable supporting pupils with complex or challenging needs.
  • Able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support.
  • Help pupils access lessons and personalised learning activities.
  • Support pupils to work towards EHCP outcomes.
  • Encourage communication, independence and positive social interaction.
  • Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
  • Help manage transitions and daily routines.
