Job summary

TeacherActive in Swansea is seeking a dedicated Secondary School Teaching Assistant to support students across the secondary age range in a busy school environment.

This temporary position offers short-term, long-term, part-time and full-time opportunities with PAYE pay, access to CPD courses, and a referral scheme.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in an educational or similar setting.
• Experience supporting students within a classroom environment is desirable.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

The school is looking for a Secondary School Teaching Assistant to support students across the secondary age range, with short-term, long-term, part-time and full-time opportunities available. The successful Secondary School Teaching Assistant will work alongside teaching staff to support learning in the classroom, encourage student engagement and provide additional support where required.

The successful Secondary School Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children or young people in an educational or similar setting
• Experience supporting students within a classroom environment is desirable
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A positive and proactive approach to supporting learning
• Good behaviour management skills
• Flexibility and a willingness to support students across the school
