Job Title: Secondary School Teaching Assistant
Location: Doncaster
Contract: Flexible temporary supply via Academics
Salary: £80-£95 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Academics are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary School Teaching Assistant to join our team of supply staff to work across our partner schools in Doncaster. This role is perfect for those looking to make a positive impact in education and training while enjoying the flexibility of supply work.

About the Role:
As a Secondary School Teaching Assistant in Doncaster, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), ensuring they have access to a positive and inclusive learning environment. Your responsibilities will include:

* Providing 1:1 or small group support to learners, both in and out of the classroom.
* Assisting with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and tailored learning strategies.
* Promoting positive behaviour and engagement among all students.
* Collaborating with teachers and other staff to create a supportive and nurturing learning environment.
* Upholding the school’s policies and procedures to the highest standard, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students at all times.

The Ideal Candidate:

* Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
* Has experience working in a secondary school environment.
* Possesses a strong understanding of SEND and experience supporting students with additional needs.
* Demonstrates excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
* Is flexible, adaptable, and able to use their initiative.
* Additional qualifications such as Team Teach or Positive Handling are desirable but not essential.
