Job summary

Milk Education is seeking dedicated Secondary Supply Teachers to work across South Tyneside schools, including South Shields, delivering engaging lessons and supporting pupils of varying abilities.

You will collaborate with school leaders and staff to ensure continuity of learning across KS3 to KS5 and across subjects, maintaining a calm, positive learning environment and adapting to diverse learning needs.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching in a secondary school setting.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• A proactive, professional attitude with a commitment to inclusive education.
• Ability to provide two recent references.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across KS3-KS5 (or within your subject specialism).
• Create and maintain a positive, structured learning environment.
• Support pupils’ academic progress and engagement.
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet a range of learning needs.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour management.
• Work collaboratively with school staff to ensure continuity of learning.
• Provide feedback on pupil progress where required.

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
