Job summary

Prospero Teaching are seeking a caring and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a busy secondary school in Upminster. You will support students aged 11-16 across the curriculum, delivering targeted interventions to help pupils progress academically and socially.

Qualifications

Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs.
Knowledge of Moderate Learning Difficulties and Speech, Language and Communication Needs.
A patient, empathetic and proactive approach.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

A commitment to safeguarding and supporting young people.

Responsibilities

Support students with additional learning needs in lessons across the curriculum.
Deliver targeted interventions to support academic progress and personal development.
Encourage communication, confidence and engagement in learning.
Assist pupils in developing social skills through structured support programmes and social hubs.
Work collaboratively with teachers, SEND staff and pastoral teams.
Promote a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment.
