Job summary

Academics is seeking Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) for several long-term positions in Newport starting after October half-term (November 2026). Roles are available across various secondary subjects, with a bespoke NQT induction programme and a Guaranteed Work Scheme to ensure income.

Temporary-to-permanent options may be offered for 2026/27 and 2027/28. Salary will be determined by qualifications and experience, in line with the client's pay policy.

Qualifications

• NQT status required or in progress.
• DBS and EWC registered to work in Wales/UK schools.
• Ability to develop and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lessons following the National Curriculum guidelines.
• Plan and adapt lessons to meet pupils' needs over long-term placements.
• Collaborate with school teams to ensure smooth induction and transition for NQTs.

• You're a Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT)
• DBS and EWC registered (this can be produced through us!)

• Develop, plan, and implement engaging lessons that follow the curriculum guidelines.
