Job summary

Justteachers Ltd is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant for a welcoming secondary school in King’s Lynn. The role is full-time from September, supporting pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4, inside and outside the classroom.

You will work with teachers to deliver targeted interventions, support SEND students, promote positive behaviour, and help learners access the curriculum while developing confidence and independence.

Responsibilities

About the role:

We are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive Secondary School in King’s Lynn who are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team on a full-time basis from September.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate individual who is committed to supporting young people in achieving their full potential. The successful candidate will work closely with students across Key Stages 3 and 4, providing tailored support both inside and outside the classroom to help them access learning, develop confidence, and succeed academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide learning support to students across a range of subjects and year groups
• Support students with additional learning needs, helping them access the curriculum effectively
• Work alongside class teachers to deliver targeted interventions and classroom support
• Encourage student engagement, participation, and independence in learning
• Support students’ social, emotional, and behavioural development
• Assist with the implementation of individual support plans where required
• Promote positive behaviour and reinforce the school’s behaviour expectations
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
• Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers
• Contribute to the wider school community and support extracurricular activities where appropriate

Pre-requisites:

• Previous experience working with young people, ideally within a school or educational setting
• Experience supporting students with SEND is desirable but not essential
• A patient, positive, and adaptable approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff
• The ability to build positive relationships with students and act as a role model
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
• A genuine passion for education and supporting student achievement
• Two recent education-based references
