Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a growing secondary school in Nottingham City Centre to appoint an enthusiastic English Teacher. You will plan engaging lessons and deliver across KS3 and GCSE, with occasional A-Level teaching, within a supportive English department.

The role starts immediately on a temporary basis until Christmas, with the possibility of extension. You will maintain high behavioural standards and support students of varying abilities while collaborating with colleagues.

Qualifications

• Must have QTS and be eligible to work in the UK.
• Experience delivering English lessons up to GCSE.
• Strong classroom management and ability to engage diverse learners.
• Availability to start immediately and sustain a temporary assignment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver English lessons across KS3 and GCSE, with possible A-Level teaching.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and create a positive learning environment.

The school is looking to take on a dedicated English Teacher on a temporary basis, starting immediately and continuing until Christmas, with the possibility of an extension. The successful English Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging English lessons across KS3 and GCSE, with occasional A-Level teaching, while maintaining high standards of behaviour and supporting students of varying abilities.

The successful English Teacher will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status / QTS (ECTs are also welcome to apply)
