Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd is seeking a Secondary English Teacher to join a Bradford-based mainstream secondary school. The role covers day-to-day supply or long-term cover with an immediate start, delivering engaging English lessons across KS3 to KS5 and supporting GCSE/A Level preparation.

The successful candidate will use strong classroom management and communication skills to assess progress and support student learning. On-site, part-time contract with pay £150–£190 per day.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching English Literature and Language in UK secondary school
• Strong knowledge of National Curriculum, GCSE and A Level requirements
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills

Summary

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Secondary School based in Bradford, who are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher. The school provides a learning environment where students are encouraged to develop their confidence, analytical skills and understanding of English Literature and Language.

The school is looking to take on a motivated English Teacher for day-to-day supply or long-term cover opportunities, with an immediate start available. The successful English Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 / KS3, Key Stage 4 / KS4 and Key Stage 5 / KS5, supporting GCSE and A Level examination preparation, assessing student progress and maintaining effective classroom management.

The successful English Teacher will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status / QTS with an English specialism (ECTs are also welcome to apply)


• Experience teaching English Literature and English Language within a UK secondary school


• Strong knowledge of the Secondary National Curriculum, GCSE and A Level examination requirements


• Experience supporting students with GCSE and A Level preparation, including revision and targeted interventions


• Excellent classroom management and communication skills


• A positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to teaching
