Job summary

Teach Now Limited is seeking a dedicated Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant to join its inclusion team in Enfield from September. You will support students with ADHD to stay engaged, break tasks into steps and develop strategies for independence, while maintaining calm and clear boundaries.

The role requires experience supporting young people, a good understanding of ADHD, strong behaviour-management and safeguarding commitment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting young people in education, youth work or care.
• Understanding ADHD and its impact on learning.
• Confident behaviour-management skills.
• Ability to follow individual education and behaviour plans.
• Strong commitment to safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Supporting students with ADHD during lessons.
• Helping students organise equipment, homework and deadlines.
• Breaking learning into clear, achievable stages.
• Reinforcing positive behaviour and classroom expectations.
• Supporting emotional regulation and restorative conversations.
• Delivering targeted one-to-one or small-group interventions.
• Monitoring engagement and recording progress.
• Liaising with teachers, pastoral leaders and the SENCO.
