Job summary

Computacenter in Nottingham seeks a Second Line Analyst for Application Packaging to support high-profile customers on-site. You will import applications, run test deployments, and troubleshoot issues to a 3rd line level, including logging and diagnostics.

Day-to-day work includes communicating with business users, updating workflow records, creating AD groups, and coordinating with the team lead. A proactive, detail-oriented approach is essential.

Qualifications

• SC clearance must be obtainable.
• Customer facing experience required.
• Basic knowledge of the Application Logistics Lifecycle.
• General Windows support and configuration experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of MSI and/or App-V technologies.
• Basic knowledge of VBScript.
• Knowledge of SCCM – importing applications, collections and advertisements.
• Group Policy and local permission settings knowledge.
• Ability to troubleshoot installation errors and diagnose faults.
• Ability to investigate complex multi-layered application dependencies.

The role will be tasked with importing the applications and carrying out a test deployment.

Troubleshoot to a 3rd line level including debugging installations via log files and IT skills are a part of this role.

What you’ll do

• Responsible for communication and interaction with identified business users.
• Update of all assigned records in the workflow tool
• Import of packaged application into SCCM
• Creation of AD groups ready for deployment
• Test deployment from SCCM (OAT)
• Escalation of issues to the team lead/local management
• Investigation of possible application dependencies and escalation to technical authority
• Troubleshooting of application error messages during installation
