Job summary

E-ACT Bristol Academy South, part of the E-ACT multi-academy trust, seeks a Second in Department for Maths to lead curriculum development and support colleagues in delivering outstanding mathematics education.

You will work closely with the Head of Department to drive standards, monitor pupil progress and plan an engaging maths programme across Key Stages. A strong candidate will inspire students and contribute to school improvement.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status or recognised equivalent.
• Degree in subject specialism.
• Strong classroom teaching skills with a proven ability to secure excellent student progress and outcomes.
• Ability to support and motivate colleagues, promoting high standards of teaching and learning across the department.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, parents and carers.
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

• Lead on identified areas of curriculum development, teaching and learning, assessment, or student outcomes within the department.
• Deliver consistently high-quality teaching that inspires students and promotes excellent progress and attainment.
• Monitor and evaluate student performance, supporting interventions to raise achievement and close attainment gaps.
• Assist in the planning, development and implementation of an ambitious and engaging mathematics curriculum.

We are looking for a Second in Department for Maths to

support the leadership and development of our successful Mathematics department at E-ACT Bristol Academy South. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious teacher who is passionate about delivering high-quality mathematics education and helping students achieve outstanding outcomes.
