Job summary

Crooton Ltd in Stamford, Rutland is seeking a qualified Second Chef to join our care home kitchen, delivering fresh seasonal meals and a better work-life balance.

You will work with the Head Chef, tailor menus to residents' tastes, lead in absence of Head Chef, and manage stock, audits and budget while maintaining a warm, welcoming kitchen.

This full-time role offers 40 hours per week with alternate weekends and a salary of £16.00 per hour, with bonuses and benefits as described.

Qualifications

• Solid experience cooking with fresh, seasonal produce and HACCP knowledge.
• Warm, personable approach and genuine interest in residents' wellbeing.
• Confidence engaging with residents and understanding of nutrition.

Responsibilities

• Lead the kitchen when the Head Chef is away.
• Collaborate on menu development using fresh ingredients.
