Job summary

Crooton Ltd in Stamford, Rutland is hiring a Second Chef for a care home. This full‑time role is 40 hours per week, including alternate weekends, with a salary of £16.00 per hour.

You’ll cook with fresh seasonal produce, lead the kitchen when the Head Chef is away, and help tailor menus to residents’ tastes while maintaining a warm, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Solid experience cooking with fresh, seasonal produce and a strong grasp of HACCP.
• A warm, personable approach and a genuine interest in the wellbeing of our residents.
• Confidence to engage with residents, a good understanding of nutrition, and the ability to keep a kitchen welcoming and positive.
