Job summary

Fortnum & Mason plc in London is seeking a Seasonal Warehouse Operative to support our festive operation at Piccadilly. This fixed-term contract runs until 27 December, helping ensure stock reaches the right place at the right time.

You will receive, unpack and organise deliveries; move and replenish stock; pick and pack products; maintain safe, tidy warehouse areas and work closely with colleagues to meet seasonal demand.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, stockroom or retail stock is beneficial.
• Willingness to perform manual handling and lift lightweight loads.
• Ability to work calmly in a fast-paced Christmas period.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unpack and organise deliveries accurately.
• Move and replenish stock to support the store operation.
• Pick, pack and prepare products as required.
• Maintain safe, tidy and well-organised warehouse areas.
• Support stock control and rotation with accuracy.

Christmas at Fortnum’s is a truly special time. Behind the scenes of our iconic Piccadilly store, our Warehouse team plays an essential role in keeping everything moving and ensuring our customers can enjoy the exceptional products and service Fortnum’s is renowned for.

We are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic Seasonal Warehouse Operative to join our team on a fixed-term contract until 27th December. You’ll support our busy operation during one of the most exciting times of the year, helping to ensure stock reaches the right place at the right time.

What You'll Do:

• Receive, unpack and organise deliveries efficiently and accurately
• Move and replenish stock to support the smooth running of our Piccadilly store
• Pick, pack and prepare products as required
• Ensure products are stored and handled carefully to maintain Fortnum’s exceptional standards
• Keep warehouse and stock areas safe, tidy and well organised
• Support stock control and rotation, ensuring accuracy at all times
• Work closely with colleagues across the business to respond quickly to stock requirements
• Follow all manual handling, health and safety, and operational procedures
• Work efficiently during busy periods to help the team deliver a seamless Christmas operation

What We're Looking For:

• Previous warehouse, stockroom or retail stock experience is beneficial
• A proactive, hands-on approach and willingness to get stuck in
• Strong attention to detail and pride in getting things right
• Excellent organisation and time-management skills
• The ability to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment
• A reliable and positive approach to teamwork
• Flexibility to support the needs of the business throughout the festive period
