Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking seasonal Mail Sorters in Swansea to support peak Christmas operations. You will be on your feet, helping unload and move mail through busy sorting centres, and you will participate in accurate sorting of letters and parcels. No prior warehouse experience is required, just reliability and enthusiasm.

Shift patterns include various hours with pay per hour. Roles are temporary and based at Swansea Mail Centre, SA1 1AA, offering a chance to contribute to festive mail delivery

No previous warehouse or mail sorting experience is required – just bring your enthusiasm and we’ll provide the rest.

‘Tis the season to be earning a little extra

As a Seasonal Mail Sorter, you’ll help process millions of cards, gifts, and parcels during our busiest time of year. Your duties will include:

• Unloading letters and parcels from delivery lorries
• Moving mail safely around our sorting centres and warehouses
• Helping sort letters and parcels quickly and accurately

We have a variety of shift patterns available at Swansea Mail Centre, Siemens Way, SWANSEA, SA1 1AA, including the following core shift patterns:

• Lates: 14:00 - 22:00 (£15.14 p/h)
• Nights: 22:00 - 06:00 (£16.44 p/h)

Please note, night shifts are not available to applicants under 18 years old.

Depending on location, you may have access to facilities such as on-site canteens, break areas, social spaces and subsidised gym facilities.

What You’ll Need To Join The Team

You don’t need any previous warehouse operative, mail or parcel sorting experience. We’re looking for people who:

• Have a positive attitude and team spirit.
• Are organised and able to work independently and as part of a team in a busy environment.
• Enjoy active, hands‑on work, including working on your feet, pushing / pulling trolleys (up to 250kg with wheels!), and handling items up to 11kg.
• Are flexible and happy to switch tasks when needed.
