Royal Mail is hiring for its Glasgow seasonal team to help process letters, parcels and cards during the busy Christmas period at Glasgow Mail Centre.

No prior warehouse experience is required; you’ll be on your feet, moving mail and sorting items with a supportive team. Night shifts run 22:00–06:00 with a £16.44 hourly rate.

You can expect a variety of shift patterns and access to on-site facilities such as canteens and break areas at the Glasgow location.

• Are organised and able to work independently and as part of a team in a busy environment.
• Enjoy active, hands-on work, including working on your feet and handling items up to 11kg.
• Are flexible and happy to switch tasks when needed.

Looking for a temporary Christmas job?

No previous warehouse or mail sorting experience is required – just bring your enthusiasm and we’ll provide the rest.

‘Tis the season to be earning a little extra

As a Seasonal Mail Sorter, you’ll help process millions of cards, gifts, and parcels during our busiest time of year. Your duties will include:

• Unloading letters and parcels from delivery lorries
• Moving mail safely around our sorting centres and warehouses
• Helping sort letters and parcels quickly and accurately

We have a variety of shift patterns available at Glasgow Mail Centre, 20 Turner Road, GLASGOW, G21 1AA, including the following core shift patterns:

• Nights: 22:00 - 06:00 (£16.44 p/h)

Please note, night shifts are not available to applicants under 18 years old.

Depending on location, you may have access to facilities such as on-site canteens, break areas, social spaces and subsidised gym facilities.

What You’ll Need To Join The Team

• Enjoy active, hands-on work, including working on your feet, pushing / pulling trolleys (up to 250kg with wheels!), and handling items up to 11kg.
• Are flexible and happy to switch tasks when needed.
