idverde is seeking a Seasonal Grounds Maintenance Operative for Barnsley to support summer projects. You will maintain multiple green spaces using ride-on and pedestrian mowers, perform strimming, pruning and weeding, and handle litter collection as part of a team.

The role requires a valid UK manual driving licence, DBS clearance, and a proactive, safety-conscious approach. Two-month fixed-term contract with potential for extension based on performance.

Contract Type: Seasonal - 2 months fixed-term contract. Starting ASAP

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 - 14:30

About the role

We currently require a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team in Barnsley to support throughout the busy summer season. You will keep several green spaces and grounds in a wonderful condition for our client through grass cutting; using a ride on and pedestrian mower, strimming, pruning, weeding, shrub and border maintenance, litter picking and any other related horticultural duties. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills, gain valuable experience, and grow with us in a friendly and encouraging environment!

Requirements

• Previous Grounds Maintenance experience is highly advantageous.
• A full valid UK manual driving licence is essential.
• Enhanced DBS check done prior to starting.
• PA1 and PA6 licenses are preferred, but not essential.
• Can-do attitude and safety-conscious mindset.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
