Job summary

idverde in Burton-upon-Trent is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Team Leader to supervise a small crew delivering grass cutting, strimming, hedge work and litter picking across sites in and around Burton-upon-Trent. You will lead by example, coordinate daily tasks and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

The role is permanent, full-time with Monday to Friday hours. The ideal candidate has grounds maintenance experience, prior team-leading or supervisory exposure, a full valid UK driving

• Experience in grounds maintenance with a can-do attitude and safety-conscious mindset.
• Prior team leader or supervisor experience in grounds maintenance or similar industry.
• Must be physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Effective problem solving and ability to work independently or within a team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a small team and coordinate daily grounds maintenance tasks.
• Deliver grass cutting (ride-on and pedestrian), strimming, hedge and border maintenance, litter picking.
• Ensure tasks meet required standards with high attention to detail.

Grounds Maintenance Team Leader
Location: Burton-upon-Trent
Hourly Rate: £13.50 p/h
Contract type: Permanent, Full Time
Working hours: Monday - Friday 07:00 - 16:30

About the role

As a Team Leader you will be supervising your small team and working alongside them to provide various grounds maintenance services in and around Burton-upon-Trent: grass cutting (ride on and pedestrian), strimming, shrub and border maintenance, hedge cutting, litter picking. Requirements

• Prior experience within Grounds Maintenance with a can-do attitude and safety-conscious mindset
• Previous experience in a Team Leader or Supervisor position within Grounds Maintenance or a similar industry
• Ensure all tasks are completed to the required standard, with a good eye for detail.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• The ability to be able to work independently but also as part of a wider team
• Proficient in problem solving and dealing with complex situations
• Reliable, energetic and enthusiastic with a determined, flexible and "can-do" attitude
• A full valid UK driving licence is essential
• PA1 and PA6 licences are an advantage
