Job summary

Detail 2 Limited is seeking an experienced Sea Import Operator in Manchester to manage end-to-end LCL and FCL sea import shipments. You will quote, book, pre-alert, arrange customs clearance, and coordinate delivery with customers, agents and suppliers.

You will handle competitive freight rate negotiations, documentation, and ongoing customer communication, ensuring accurate, timely operations and excellent service.

Qualifications

• Experience in sea freight, freight forwarding or import operations is required.
• Strong understanding of deep sea import procedures and documentation.
• Knowledge of shipping lines, overseas agents and international freight procedures is essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end LCL and FCL sea import shipments from quotation to completion.
• Obtain and negotiate competitive freight rates and prepare customer quotations.
• Arrange bookings with shipping lines, overseas agents and suppliers.
• Process pre-alerts, monitor vessel movements and update customers.
