White Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Sea Freight Import Operator in Manchester to coordinate end-to-end sea freight imports. You will work with customers, shipping lines and overseas agents to ensure smooth shipments and timely updates on progress.

The role requires knowledge of FCL/LCL shipments, customs procedures and accurate documentation. A proactive, customer-focused approach and strong organisational skills are essential for success in this busy environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in Sea Freight Imports within freight forwarding.
• Understanding of FCL/LCL shipments and import procedures.
• Knowledge of customs clearance processes and shipping documentation.
• Excellent organisation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple shipments.
• Customer-focused and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Co-ordinate sea freight import shipments from start to finish.
• Liaise with shipping lines, overseas agents, hauliers and customers.
• Prepare and process import documentation (Bills of Lading, arrival notices).
• Coordinate customs clearance, cargo release and final deliveries.
• Monitor vessel arrivals and keep customers updated.
• Resolve delays and operational queries efficiently.
• Maintain shipment records and assist with invoicing.
