Job summary

Spring Supply Chain in Bradford is seeking an Import Operator with experience in sea freight imports to join our established team. The role covers end-to-end shipments for regular clients, coordinating with shipping lines and customers to ensure smooth imports.

You will negotiate rates, ensure correct documentation, and keep all parties updated. A customer-focused, organised approach and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience of managing sea imports.
• Experience in a freight forwarder or similar business.
• Customer-focused mindset.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Organised and thorough, able to see tasks through to completion.
• Ability to work to deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage sea imports for regular clients.
• Obtain best prices from shipping lines and negotiate rates.
• Ensure solutions meet customer needs.
• Ensure all shipments have the correct documentation.
• Update customers, shipping lines and agents with changes.
• Resolve queries related to lost, damaged or delayed shipments.
