Job summary

IC Resources is seeking a Communications Systems Engineer in Gloucester to design, integrate and optimise SDR-based systems for complex mission environments. You will focus on system-level design, architectures, interfaces, and network modelling, ensuring performance and interoperability across hardware, software and RF domains.

The role requires expertise in SDR system architecture, protocols, and integration, with exposure to Python, C/C++, Linux and related tools. DV clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in SDR system architecture and protocol development.
• Knowledge of network modelling, interfaces and test methodologies.
• Exposure to defence/cyber communications is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Define and improve SDR system architectures and interfaces.
• Model network performance and conduct testing and validation.
• Integrate communication systems into larger platforms and ensure interoperability.
• Collaborate on protocols, encoding schemes and system design tools.
