Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a qualified Scrum Master for a 12-month contract at Warton Aerodrome in Lancashire. The role is on-site 3-4 days per week and focuses on delivering agile software and systems within the Defence & Security sector.

You will remove impediments, coach two Scrum teams, and partner with Product Owners to maintain a healthy backlog using Atlassian tools, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

Certified Scrum Master certification or equivalent.
Experience with Lean/Agile/Traditional methodologies.
Proficiency with Atlassian suite, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office applications.
Strong leadership behaviours, capable of managing 2 Scrum teams of low to medium complexity.
Effective communication skills and ability to respond quickly to changing circumstances.
Understanding and experience of using metrics to monitor team performance.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to refine and maintain a well-defined product backlog.
Remove impediments to keep the development team focused and productive, guiding them to solutions.
Utilise data to identify areas of success and opportunities for improvement.
Assess and coach the team towards higher levels of Scrum maturity at a sustainable pace.
Foster a trusting and psychologically safe environment where issues can be raised without fear of blame.
