Matchtech Group is seeking an experienced Scrum Master for a six-month hybrid contract based in Reading. You will support agile delivery across digital and data teams, facilitate ceremonies, and promote Scrum, Kanban and agile practices within a regulated defence/security context.

Strong coaching and stakeholder management are essential. The role requires Active SC clearance and a track record of enabling high-performing teams, removing impediments and improving delivery flow in complex

Formación

• CSM/PSM/SAFe Scrum Master certification or equivalent.
• Experience as Scrum Master in agile delivery environments.
• Strong understanding of Scrum, Kanban and related delivery practices.

Responsabilidades

• Facilitate core Scrum ceremonies (planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives).
• Promote agile values and delivery frameworks adherence.
• Support backlog refinement with clarity and business value alignment.
• Ensure sprint scope, dependencies and team capacity are understood.
• Identify and remove impediments; shield team from disruption.
• Drive continuous improvement through retrospectives and process enhancements.
• Coach delivery teams and stakeholders in agile ways of working.
• Foster collaboration across digital and data teams to support iterative delivery.

Role details:

Our client, a leading organisation within the defence and security sector, is seeking a Scrum Master to support agile delivery across digital and data teams. Based in Reading with hybrid working, this contract role will help enable high-performing teams, improve delivery flow and support the development of robust digital capabilities for strategic defence programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate core Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives
• Promote adherence to agile values, principles and delivery frameworks
• Support backlog refinement by encouraging clarity, prioritisation and alignment with business value
• Ensure sprint scope, dependencies and team capacity are clearly understood
• Identify and remove delivery impediments while protecting the team from external disruption
• Champion continuous improvement through actionable retrospectives and measurable process enhancements
• Coach delivery teams and stakeholders in agile ways of working
• Foster collaboration across multidisciplinary digital and data teams to support iterative delivery

Job Requirements:

• Certified Scrum Master qualification, such as CSM, PSM, SAFe Scrum Master or equivalent
• Experience working as a Scrum Master within agile delivery environments
• Strong understanding of Scrum, Kanban and supporting agile delivery practices
• Proven ability to facilitate ceremonies, manage team dynamics and build high-trust working environments
• Experience supporting digital and data delivery teams
• Ability to remove impediments, manage delivery risks and promote continuous improvement
• Strong communication, coaching and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working in a highly regulated environment, such as defence, security or financial services, would be advantageous
