Job summary

Royal Devon invites applications for a Scrub Theatre Practitioner (Internal Only) based at Nightingale Hospital Exeter. The role is a permanent Band 5 position within the Scrub team, working 37.5 hours across Monday to Friday, in a modern orthopaedic surgical hub dedicated to short-stay procedures.

You will join a multidisciplinary team, support patient-centred care, and have opportunities for professional development, research engagement and innovation across subspecialities.

Qualifications

• Qualified Theatre Practitioner (ODP or RN with scrub theatre experience)
• Registered with NMC or HCPC and current clinically competent status
• Demonstrates patient-centred care and team participation

Responsibilities

• Work as a scrub practitioner in a modern surgical hub for short-stay elective orthopaedic procedures
• Be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering safe, compassionate care
• Engage in innovation, staff development and research initiatives
