Job summary

Contract Scotland is seeking a Business Development Lead to identify and win new work across the Scottish construction market. You will build relationships with clients, developers and consultants, and manage a healthy pipeline of opportunities.

This office-based role involves collaborating with estimating, pre-construction and commercial teams, travelling for client meetings and industry events as required. You will use market knowledge to create opportunities and report on activity.

Qualifications

• Experience in the Scottish construction market and understanding of work-winning processes.
• Strong ability to build relationships with clients, developers and consultants.
• Experience managing a sales pipeline and opportunities from identification to win.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across the Scottish construction market.
• Build relationships with clients, developers, consultants and key industry contacts.
• Manage a pipeline of potential projects and opportunities.
• Identify upcoming developments, projects and procurement opportunities.
• Use your network and market knowledge to create new opportunities.
• Attend client meetings, networking events and industry functions.
• Support bids and tenders with customer, market and project insight.
• Work closely with estimating, pre-construction, commercial and operational teams.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and report on business development activity.
