Job summary

Contract Scotland in Central West Scotland is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to lead regional client development and new work opportunities. You will build relationships with customers, consultants and partners, and drive revenue growth through strong pipeline management and strategic bids.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in business development, work-winning or related commercial role.
• Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
• Good commercial awareness and understanding of customer requirements.
• Ability to identify opportunities and think strategically.
• Excellent communication, influencing and presentation skills.
• Strong organisational and IT skills, including CRM experience.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership; construction/infra experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead business development and work-winning activity across the region.
• Identify new opportunities and develop a strong pipeline in target markets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, consultants, partners and key stakeholders.
• Manage key customer accounts and develop relationships that generate future opportunities.
• Support tender and bidding activity, using market knowledge to strengthen submissions.
• Work with senior management to support growth strategies.
• Represent the business at industry events and customer meetings.
• Maintain engagement with local markets and communities.
• Identify opportunities to collaborate across the wider business.
• Keep the CRM up to date and provide regular pipeline reports.
